Rock & Roll History: October 25
A little more Rock & Roll History for October 25th.
1944: Singer Jon Anderson was born. Jon is (or was) the front man for the sensational progressive rock band Yes. Yes is one of the best, if not the best of the prog rockers.
1957: Guitarist Robbie McIntosh, who played with Paul McCartney and The Pretenders, was born.
1962: The Beatles conducted their very first radio interview, during which Paul McCartney said “John Lennon is the leader of the group.”
1969: Led Zeppelin rocked the Boston Garden, playing before 17,000 fans. It was their largest indoor crowd to date.
1969: Pink Floyd release their vastly underrated double album Ummagumma.
