Nov. 5, 1967: Pink Floyd appeared on the Pat Boone Show.
I just can’t get my head around this one, it just too freakin’ bizarre. Later that day Floyd played a benefit concert at the Fillmore in San Francisco with the relatively obscure but truly groovy 60’s psychedelic band Sopwith Camel.

You are right the two terms “Pink Floyd” and “Pat Boone” are on both ends of the music spectrum.
