Kansas: A Philosophical Rock & Roll Question
“How far to the point of no return?”-Kansas
How far to the point of no return?
Who cares?!?! What matters is that we are moving in that direction and constantly testing the limits. Our cue that we are nearing the point of no return is that we tend to get a little nervous. This is nothing more than our instincts or intuition letting us know that we’re getting close to that point.
Moving toward the point of no return is a magical mystery tour, much like Alice (of Wonderland fame) going down the rabbit hole.
Out near the point of no return is where the really sweet fruit is and that really sweet fruit is where we get our best juice. And when we are juiced, we’re having fun. And when we’re having fun, we are typically much more creative and effective in all our endeavors.
If we’re not pushing those limits on a fairly regular basis then we are simply taking up too damn much space and leading boring freakin’ lives! Only by taking the risk of going beyond the point of no return can we know how far it is.
True insight is knowing when we’re past the point of no return. And going past it can be a fun ride every once in a while.
