Rock & Roll History: November 10
Here’s some Rock & Roll History that caught my attention for November 10th:
1948: Greg Lake was born. Greg was a founding member of both ELP and King Crimson. The singer, guitarist, bassist, songwriter & producer also toured briefly with the band Asia.
1966: The English newspapers announced that the Beatles would tour no more. That was a sad day.
1967: The Moody Blues released the amazingly lovely “Nights in White Satin.” I recently posted this video of that gorgeous tune.
1973: Bob Dylan finished recording Planet Waves, one of his most underrated albums and a definite Desert Island Disc.
1986: Bruce Springsteen released Live 1975-1985. I’ve got Springsteen on the brain as I’m taking the kids to see The Boss Sunday and he’s gonna perform all of Born to Run.
