Thank You Terry Stewart from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

October 22, 2010 By: Joe Heuer Category: Cool Rock & Roll Stuff, Rock and Roll History, Rock and Roll Philosophy 4 Comments →

A HUGE THANK YOU to the very groovy Terry Stewart, President of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

Terry voted for my ‘Aha Moment’ to become a national commercial for Mutual of Omaha…and he passed it along to the entire Rock Hall staff.

I reached the finals, and I need the support of all my rocker friends to make this a reality. The voting started over from scratch on Monday, so please click here for the link.

If you voted in the semifinals, I’m incredibly grateful for your support. Since the voting started over, I’d really appreciate you voting again AND sharing this with your network.

It’s a vote not only for Rock & Roll, but for love, joy, fun & gratefulness in the spirit of service. In other words, my Rock & Roll Philosophy.

Rock the vote, baby!!

If you haven’t yet seen it, here’s my 30-second Aha Moment. It’s a semi-finalist to be a national commercial for Mutual of Omaha in 2011.

If you dig what I do here, I’d be most grateful if you’d click here to both vote and encourage your friends, family & colleagues to do the same. Voting ends Friday.

On a very cool note, Terry Stewart, the President of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, emailed to say he voted and shared it with the Rock Hall staff.

Aerosmith: Rock and Roll History

Thirty-two years ago on this date in Rock and Roll History, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith were injured after a “Cherry Bomb” was thrown on stage during a gig in Philly.

Is it just me, or does the evidence (a “Cherry Bomb”) point directly to the artist formerly known as Johnny Cougar?

‘Joey Ramone Place’ was the most stolen street sign in New York City last year.

Blues Conspiracy: Rock & Roll Quote + Groovy Stuff

July 02, 2010 By: Joe Heuer Category: Cool Rock & Roll Stuff, Rock & Roll Quotes, Rock and Roll History No Comments →

If you are a fan of Rock & Roll t-shirts and gear, you’ll want to check out Blues Conspiracy. They are always my first stop when I’m looking for new apparel.

I’ve been hanging out with my good friends Michael & Joan at Summerfest for the last week, and they’ve got a bunch of cool new stuff, including some gorgeous shirts featuring the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd & the Fab Four.

Visiting with Michael is always a groove, as he’s an encyclopedia of touring, having done every major festival many times, as well as 150+ shows with the Allman Brothers Band.

This dude spews out rockin’ gems a mile a minute, and my all-time favorite quote from Michael is:

“Summerfest makes Bonnaroo look like a cub scout meeting.”

Brand Like a Rock Star

My buddy Steve writes a most excellent blog you’ll want to check out called Brand Like a Rock Star.

Steve’s a rock & roll encyclopedia, and he does an outstanding job of interpreting the principles of branding through the bands we love. He’s also doing a book by the same title that will undoubtedly be tremendous.

Keep up the fantastic work, Steve!
