I’ve made more mistakes than I can count. My only hope is that I can learn from them and move forward.

Billy Joel: Rock & Roll Quote

Historically, musicians know what it is like to be outside the norm – walking the high wire without a safety net. Our experience is not so different from those who march to the beat of different drummers.-Billy Joel

As someone who has boogied to the beat of a different drummer his entire life, I absolutely love the sentiment.

Happy Birthday Billy!

A grate big Rock and Roll happy birthday to the Piano Man, Billy Joel.

Billy is one of those cats that I’ll continue to see every time he comes around, cuz whether he’s on his own or with his partner in crime, Elton John, he always puts on a splendiferous show.

He may be best known as a pop star, but Billy is both a tremendous pianist and a true rocker. Here he is in concert back when he still had hair rockin’ “The Ballad of Billy the Kid.”

“I saw a drummer play once when I was a kid and I thought, that’s really cool. You know, you’re moving. You’re using your arms and fingers. So I tried it and I loved it.”-Bill Kreutzmann

And we love hearing you play them…Happy Birthday, Billy!

“I’m just trying to keep things simple, and just be a little more offhand and not get so deep into things. Enjoy what you got right now, because who knows what’s going to happen tomorrow.”~Bob Seger

Simplicity and living in the precious present are key components of my Rock and Roll Philosophy.

Happy Birthday, Bob!
