Phoebe Snow Video
I really can’t adequately address Phoebe Snow’s passing without sharing the song that made her a superstar, “Poetry Man.”
We’ll miss you, Phoebe.

We’ll miss you, Phoebe.
We lost the amazing Phoebe Snow yesterday.
Such a beautiful voice, which I caught in concert back in ‘92 when she was part of Donald Fagen’s New York Rock and Soul Revue.
I just had to post a video of “Standing on Shaky Ground” and this brief one was the only one I could find.
Phoebe’s passing serves as a reminder that we’re all standing on shaky ground as far as our time here in this physical dimension.
If you’ve been reading here for any length of time you know my Rock and Roll Philosophy is based on love & appreciation in the spirit of service. Here are just a couple recent examples of how our tribe is living these principles.
Jon Bon Jovi’s charitable foundation opened a $3 million homeless shelter for youth in Philly last week.
On May 9th Tom Petty and his wife will be honored at the Golden Heart Awards for their selfless work with the Midnight Mission in Los Angeles.
This is our tribe…
Before this week totally gets away from me, I’d be remiss if I failed to mention what an honor and privilege it was to be a presenter at Sunday’s WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Awards at Turner Hall in downtown Milwaukee.
My presenting partner from the UFC failed to show, so I had the good fortune to present each of the four People’s Choice Awards. In addition to some excellent performances, we were treated to a ton of fun by the evening’s house band, Jazz Orgy.
The big winner of the night was Kings Go Forth, who won both Album and Artist of the Year. If you don’t yet know them, I’d strongly urge you check them out. The genius that is David Byrne is such a fan that he actually produced “The Outsiders Are Back.”
Click here if you wanna check out all the winners and learn more about WAMI.
A loving shout-out to my good friend and outgoing WAMI Prez Lance Shellman of Bananas Entertainment for asking me to be part of this prestigious event.
Hey rockers, just a reminder my commercial airs again this Sunday night on ABC during Extreme Makeover: Home Edition at 8:00 PM EST here in the US.
Then next Sunday it’s on during The Apprentice. I wonder if Donald Trump’s gonna try to fire my ass
While I was at Summerfest yesterday, The Big Gig’s most excellent VP of Marketing, John Boler, took me on a tour of the grounds to see some of the renovations. Here’s a little look see of what’s in store…
In my world it’s never to early to look ahead to Summerfest, so yesterday I spent some time hanging out at The Big Gig. Here’s my interview with VP of Entertainment Bob Babisch.
