Cool Rock & Roll Stuff I Got for Christmas
I was very blessed this Christmas to receive some very cool Rock & Roll gifts, including:
Tom Petty’s Live Anthology. 4 discs of quintessential Petty & the Heartbreakers.
A coffee mug with the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band on it. Coffee actually tastes better when I drink it from this mug.
A Grateful Dead Europe ‘72 thermal long sleeve shirt.
A set of coasters that are mini replicas of albums.
A Rock & Roll Trivia Calendar.
The book What Would Keith Richards Do? Turns out it’s true, folks…Keith does know all.
I am tremendously grateful for these groovy gifts and the people who gave them to me. Thanks all.

Santa was indeed very good to you. I have been wanting to pick up the “Book of Keith” myself. Best in 2010 to you and your family, Joe.

So Joe, ‘ya did it to me….I wait ALL year long to see what GROOVY post you will do on my birthday (Dec.27)…..and I wait….and I’m all excited on Sunday afternoon because I just KNOW you are going to post soon….and I wait….and it’s getting to be midnight…..and I wait….and NOTHIN”!!!
Well I was SOOOOOO disappointed that I threw off all my clothes, chugged a gallon of spiked eggnog, ate my stash and RAN out the backdoor heading for the back 40….and I began to speak in tongues that I didn’t understand….started hallucinatin’ ….couldn’t figure out if I was chasin’ something, or something was chasin’ me…I think someplace in there I actually accosted an animal of some type….and I hugged a cop….and I think yesterday was when they finally caught me and threw me in jail…and I can’t make bail….so THANKS ALOT Mr. GURU….ALL because you couldn’t be bothered to tell the good folks about Scotty Moore’s birthday (78 years old….yikes!!!), or Mike Pinder’s (67), or Mick Jones’ (65), or Tracy Nelson’s (I’ll go old school and not give her age), ditto for Karla Bonoff, Leslie Maguire’s (68, Gerry and The Pacemakers)……Not to mention those who passed on such as Blind Lemon Jefferson, Freddie King, Bob Luman, Rockin’ Howard Crockett, Hoagy Carmichael and Delaney Bramlett last year.
BUT THAT”S OK….my roomates have shown up to get me out of jail….and hopefully the judge will understand why this geezer was caught humpin’ a cop’s leg mumbling something about “Blame it on the guru….it’s ALL the guru’s fault”!
Seriously Mistah Guru, just wanted to THANK-YOU VERY MUCH for ALL your efforts over the past year; Hope you had a ROCKIN” little Christmas; and that the New Year brings you NOTHIN’ BUT JOY !!!
Keep on chooglin’!!!

PPS Just ran into a cool live rock channel called tourtv.ning.com that are streaming a New Year’s Eve show of a Paul Rodgers New Year’s Eve show from 3 years ago. The rest of the site is preety cool too. Take a look at the menu button on the vidplayer and click on their Christmas selection…pretty wild. ENJOY!!!

A thousand pardons, DrBop! Happy Rockin’ Birthday. This is the type of shit that happens when I try to take a few days off. Have the judge give me a call and I’ll straighten things out.
