Pink Floyd: Rock & Roll Wisdom
“Hey you, don’t tell me there’s no hope at all.”-Pink Floyd
Do not even try to tell me there is no hope.
If you want to see hope in the world, do any of the following:
Look into the eyes of a three-year-old with a box of crayons and a coloring book.
Watch a caregiver who brings comfort and compassion to the sick.
Listen to a six-year-old tell you about growing up to be a firefighter, or a doctor, or a racecar driver.
Watch a person picking up their new musical instrument for the first time.
Listen to a budding entrepreneur tell you about her plans.
Go into a bookstore or your local library. Hope abounds there.
Observe the encouragement a dedicated teacher gives to a struggling student.
Watch a couple profess their love for each other in front of family, friends and all the other people they invited in order to appease their parents or gain health insurance.
Hope is everywhere.

Loved the bookstore / library comment…we practice it every week.
Kind of a wry comment to end on…health insurance?
