Pete Townshend: Rock & Roll Widsom
“Is it in your heart or in your head?”-Pete Townshend
Do you spend your days living from what is inside your head or from what is in your heart?
If you are not certain how to answer that question, think about how much joy and love you experience on a daily basis. If your life is brimming with love and joy, you are living from your heart. It’s as simple as that.
When you live from your head, life can get pretty regimented and monotonous. That is not necessarily bad, but it is also not what you are designed for. You were designed for adventure.
When you live from your heart while employing the services of your head as a consultant, that is when the adventure escalates and miracles occur.

Does that mean that art comes from the heart? I believe so.
How many times have you seen or heard art, especially abstract art, and got what was going on at first glimpse? It’s an immediate emotional rush. If you don’t “see” it right away, you overthink it and the emotional attachment isn’t there.
In another comment section, Pete was referred as a genius. I agree with placing him way above other musicians. To me, genius deals with your mind, how intelligent/smart one is. “Artist” is such an overused word. Does anyone know of a better word for “genius of the heart”?

Love comes from the heart, and love is everything. Therefore, art is love and it comes from the heart. I knew that intro to logic class would come in handy at some point…30 years later.

Sounds more like intro to philosophy. Like the Steve Martin line “I took just enough philosophy to f*** up for the rest of my life”.
Is genius only cerebral?

Sorry. It’s “f*** ME up for the rest of my life”.
