After Stephen Marley, I headed over to catch a good portion of Pat Benatar’s set with her husband, Neil Giraldo.

According to the people I’ve spoken with, Pat is one of the nicest people in rock & roll and that certainly comes through on stage. And if you haven’t seen her lately, her amazing voice hasn’t lost a thing. Sporting a long list of hits, Benatar delivered a slew of them last night to a packed (and delighted) house at the M&I Classic Rock stage.

By the time I got there, she had kicked it into high gear and closed the show with a string of kick-ass rockers, including “We Belong to the Night”, “Love is a Battlefield”, “Promises in the Dark” and “Heartbreaker.”

A great night was getting even better as I headed across the grounds for my headliner, Dweezil Zappa.
