Patrick Simmons/Doobie Brothers: Rock & Roll History
October 19, 1948: Patrick Simmons of the Doobie Brothers was born. One of the band’s co-founders, Patrick wrote their first #1 hit, “Black Water.” He also penned one of my favorite Doobie’s songs, “South City Midnight Lady.”
