Credence Clearwater Revival released one of their classic songs, “Proud Mary,” 43 year ago today. Could it really have been that long ago?

I thought I would follow the “43 years ago” comment with “when I was 3.” Then I realized that even this wouldn’t make me young…

Louis’ Rant of the Day
I have gone from loving CCR to tired as hell of listening to them and then back to loving it again. What? Yes – and it is the fault of “Classic Rock Radio” format that hit in the early 80s. The limited playlist (and things have not changed that much) ruined some stuff for me. I’m talking CCR, Meatwood Slack (not to be confused with the original Fleetwood Mac), The Eagles, Steve Miller, Elton John, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and WAY too many more to list. After giving up on commercial radio, I have regained my interest. The format still needs to expand.
