George Harrison’s lovely song, “My Sweet Lord,” from the Desert Island Disc All Things Must Pass, was released in the UK 40 years ago today.
Synchronistically, that was the same day John Lennon wrote and recorded “Instant Karma.”

What a great week for releases with CCR, Lennon and Harrison all giving us these gems! Love the sitar on MSL and of course, the harmonies.
I swear, I still cannot make the connection to “She’s So Fine” that subjected George to plagiarism charges over “My Sweet Lord”. If all things must indeed pass, I wish greed in the music industry would hurry up and do so.
